Birchbox Favorites

A few months ago my boyfriend subscribed me to Birchbox. I was confused... Why? Who's paying for it?

It was a nice little surprise and he was upset by my questions. I looked it up and quickly told him that I was excited and I thanked him. Now each month I can't wait to get my Birchbox in the mail!

Birchbox is a monthly delivery of personalized beauty product samples. Each box typically includes 4-6 samples based on your preference profile.

I like to do an "unboxing video" on SnapChat that I only send to my sister. It's really obnoxious!

Here are some of my favorite products so far. These are the ones I actually purchased after I tried the sample.

Marcelle Hydra-C Energizing Hydrating Gel

Marcelle Hydra-C Energizing Hydrating Gel

This is a light-weight gel moisturizer that doesn't leave a greasy residue. It has vitamin C and E, both of which are excellent nutrients for healthy, glowing skin. I received a small tube in my Birchbox, and pictured above is the actual product that I purchased. I love to use this after I do a microdermabrasion treatment, or after a chemical peel to add that much needed hydration. I try not to use it during the day because it doesn't have SPF, but I pretty much end up using this every evening before bed, and sometimes I can't help myself and I use it during the day too.

Tiny microfibers add volume to sparse eyebrows.

I honestly don't know what I was doing with my eyebrows before this. Eyebrows were not on fleek!

Umm okay but anyway... I was just using a MAC brow pencil, which I still use... But wow this gel has changed my eyebrow game! In my hand to the left is the Birchbox sample, and the right is the actual product that I purchased. The sample lasted me a few months. I knew I could not go back to my old way of filling in my eyebrows after using this! I have sparse areas that need to be filled and I never got that natural look by filling it in with a pencil. I still use the pencil mainly for definition and added length because my brows are naturally short, too short for my liking. By the way there are plenty of Benefit eyebrow products, they actually have an entire brow collection in stores. I have tried some samples in Ulta and Sephora but nothing works for me like this gel! It looks very natural, which is what I like.

Random question, does anyone else like to go through old Facebook photos and cringe at their eyebrows?

The last two I purchased include a heat protector called (Beauty Protector and Detangle) and a mascara (Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara). The heat protector smells great and it doesn't seem to weigh my hair down like others do. I use it every time I straighten or curl my hair with a wand. The mascara has a curved brush and I loved it immediately because it gave a false lash appearance with very little clumping.

It's so much fun trying new products without the commitment of actually having to purchase them. There are plenty more that I really like, but obviously I can't buy them all. There are some that are disappointing too, but I think its worth the price paid, which is $10 per month. You also get a discount when you purchase on the site, and the more you purchase the better your discount.

There are other subscription boxes out there! You can explore others here . Have you tried a subscription box that you would recommend over Birchbox?
